The position

As our new Laboratory Technician in the Department of Recombinant Drug Discovery, you will play a crucial role in advancing innovative research and cutting-edge technologies. In this role, you will:

• Drive high-throughput variant screening using yeast surface display, playing a key role in identifying promising candidates for drug discovery.
• Utilize state-of-the-art sequencing technologies to analyze genetic variations with precision and efficiency.
• Characterize promising hits through recombinant expression, contributing to the optimization and refinement of our discoveries.
• Analyze and interpret experimental data, presenting your findings to the team and helping to shape the direction of ongoing research projects.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, we imagine you have:

• An educational background as a Laboratory Technician (Laborant), or equivalent.
• Hands-on molecular biology skills (e.g., cloning, PCR, yeast transformations).
• Preferably experience with protein/peptide display technologies (yeast, phage, or mRNA based).
• Familiarity with flow cytometry or other single cell-based technologies.
• Basic understanding of microbiology and experience in handling microbes would be considered an advantage.

• Strong collaboration skills and a flexible approach to daily tasks.
• Good communication skills and proficiency in English, both written and verbally.

About the Department

The Recombinant Drug Discovery department is mastering forefront technologies for early discovery and engineering of recombinant biologics and tool antibodies across the entire portfolio. The department currently counts 30+ highly engaged scientists and technicians and is organized in two teams sharing office and lab space and dynamically working together across teams. The department belongs to the Recombinant Drug Research CVP area in Global Research Technologies and is situated outside Copenhagen in Måløv, Denmark.
